The Housing Authority of Baltimore City’s (HABC) “Everybody is at Risk” COVID-19 prevention and awareness campaign has partnered with the legendary hip hop group the Sugarhill Gang to help spread the word about wearing facial coverings to stop the spread of the virus. Take a look at the innovative, exciting way we are getting the word out to keep our communities safe. The Sugarhill Gang, the trailblazing artists with the first rap single to become a Top 40 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 with “Rapper’s Delight”, learned of HABC’s comprehensive efforts to inform and advise residents on best practices to stop the spread of COVID-19 and offered to support the “Everybody is at Risk” campaign.

BALTIMORE, MD. (Tuesday, March 1, 2022) — Beginning today, Tuesday, March 1, Baltimore City Mayor Brandon M. Scott will be lifting the City Indoor Masking Order instituted on August 10, 2021. The order will be rescinded as of 6 AM Tuesday, March st.

February 1, 2022

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration approved a second COVID-19 vaccine. The vaccine has been known as the Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine; the approved vaccine will be marketed as Spikevax for the prevention of COVID-19 in individuals 18 years of age and older.

January 14, 2022

Free |On Saturday, January 15, 2022, Mayor Brandon M. Scott and the Baltimore City Health Department will partner with the Enoch Pratt Free Library to distribute free at-home test kits to Baltimore City residents.  At Home Test Kits will be distributed at the Enoch Pratt Free Library every Saturday 10:00 AM-12 Noon throughout the month of January.

The Baltimore City Health Department is providing the Moderna vaccine and Adult Flu vaccine for City employees at the below date and time:Fridays Moderna Vaccine 9:30AM - 12:30PM / Flu Vaccine 10AM - 2PM Location: Baltimore City Health Department, 1200 E. Fayette Street. Clinics for City of Baltimore employees will be offered through the end of the year. Just Walk In!

The Maryland Department of Health has issued a new bulletin directing all providers to administer upon request a booster dose of any FDA approved or authorized COVID-19 vaccine to individuals 18 years and older who completed a primary series of Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna COVID-19 vaccine at least six months ago.

THIS JUST IN: FDA RECOMMENDS the coronavirus vaccine for children as young as 5. One dose of Pfizer for children between ages 5 and 11 contains one-third the amount of active ingredient compared to the adult dose. A second dose is recommended 21 days or more after the first one.
