The Housing Authority of Baltimore City is introducing a forum for expression that provides an opportunity for the executive leadership to directly hear concerns from the community it serves!

The first Community Meeting on Tuesday, February 12th was held at O’ Donnell Heights. Meetings are always on the second Tuesday of the month at 6PM. They are conducted by HABC’s Executive Director, Janet Abrahams along with her executive staff. The meetings are designed to raise consciousness and give residents a real opportunity for their voices to be heard. Resident Advisory Board members are also on hand to meet and connect with residents.

Local tenants of HABC who attend are provided a platform to ask questions specific to their location. They also learn about projects happening in their communities and have an opportunity to express concerns about everything from maintenance requests to safety. Staff members of Housing Operations and Resident Services help make these meetings a success by surveying residents to address popular topics of interests to help customize the agenda.

HABC encourages participation and is providing information from local districts about public safety, presentations pest prevention and home ownership programs. This is an excellent chance for any resident to become involved in their community!
